Here at our place, we welcome a lot of families and it's a joy every single time. Phú Quốc has that rare thing: some of the biggest parks in Vietnam less than an hour away, and beaches where little feet can paddle in peace. Here are the activities we most love to share with you, tried and tested by us. One useful reminder before we start: prices and opening hours change, so we always check the day before, and we're happy to sort out your tickets.
Vinpearl Safari
In the north of the island, Vinpearl Safari is Vietnam's largest semi-wild wildlife park. You cross zones by bus where the animals roam semi-free, and trust us, the children's eyes go wide. Count on 40 to 50 minutes on the road from our place, a lovely coastal drive to get you in the mood.
Good news for families: children under 100 cm get in free. Prices vary a lot depending on promotions and the season; with the summer 2026 offer, tickets started from 150 000 ₫ for an adult and 100 000 ₫ for a child. We book the day before and take care of it for you.
VinWonders and its water play
Right next door, VinWonders Phú Quốc is Vietnam's largest theme park. Themed worlds, a huge aquarium, refreshing water play and an evening show that closes the day in style. Plenty to keep young and old busy without noticing the time go by.
Budget-wise, count on 950 000 ₫ for an adult and 710 000 ₫ for a child or senior, for a day pass. At the ticket window, combined VinWonders and Safari tickets exist, often better value if you do both neighbouring parks. We get it all ready the day before.
Our house tip: spread the Safari and VinWonders over two days rather than one. The kids hold up much better, you really make the most of each park, and the combo ticket bought at the window lightens the bill. We book the day before, transfer included.
The Hòn Thơm cable car
In the south, from Sunset Town, the Hòn Thơm cable car is an experience of its own. It's the longest 3-cable cable car over the sea in the world, a Guinness record: nearly 8 km flying over the water, around 15 minutes across, and a view that leaves everyone speechless, parents and children alike.
On arrival, the Hòn Thơm nature park and its water park (Aquatopia) await, made for families. The ticket runs around 750 000 ₫ for an adult and 600 000 ₫ for a child measuring 1 m to 1.39 m. Allow about 25 minutes on the road from the hotel.
The quiet beaches
After the parks, time for calm. Bãi Sao, in the south, is the finest white-sand beach on the island, about thirty minutes from our place, perfect for a laid-back day with the kids. To unwind, we also love Selavia, wonderfully peaceful under its palm trees, and Khem Beach with its crystal-clear water.
And if you've got an adventurous streak, we'll slip you the address of a hidden cove where you can gather seashells, or a waterfall where the locals picnic as a family. Some tracks are earned on a scooter and are best left to the more experienced: we'll point you in the right direction depending on how old the little ones are.
We take our time here: five minutes might mean today, tomorrow, or whenever it works out. With the family, that's the finest luxury of all.
